• Time: 18.00 – 21.00 hours
  • Location: Codam College, Building 039 (black-and-white striped building), Marineterrein Amsterdam, Kattenburgerstraat 5-7.

Sensemakers closes the year with a chat, drink, networking and a presentation of SpeakSee; about how they got from an idea to a prototype, crowdfunding and now a product!

SpeakSee allows deaf and hard of hearing employees to effectively participate in (ad-hoc) meetings, telephone calls, and lunch breaks. It identifies each speaker and accurately transcribes conversations to text in different colours per person. Hardware encryption and option for offline on-premises transcription ensures complete security and confidentiality.

Doors open at 18.00 hours for networking & discussing/showing projects.
Presentations usually start at 19.00 and end around 20.30 hours with “open mic” when you can share your own story/event/question.

About Sensemakers

During our meetups, we talk and do Internet-of-Things, Sensors, Arduino, RaspPi, electronics and more. Ranging from projects (Air Quality Egg, Open Thermostat, waterbuoy), presentations (IoT& Blockchain, Security, AI etc), events and just getting together to talk. Everybody is welcome: Technical, non-technical or just interested.

If you like to know more, be involved or are just curious: Just come to one of our regular meetups every third Wednesday of the Month at the Marineterrein.

In addition, we want to bring in speakers for each event, who can share their thoughts, experiences and/or wisdom. So if you know someone, let us know.
