Buurtboerderij Centraal is opening a cozy lunchroom at Marineterrein. Come and enjoy a cup of coffee or a delicious lunch. But most of all, enjoy a great group of people, who will lovingly welcome you in their new, temporary living room.
Following a major fire that almost completely destroyed Buurtboerderij Ons Genoegen in early August 2024, work has begun to rebuild the location in Westerpark. The reconstruction is expected to take two years. In the meantime, the organization and its volunteers have found a temporary residence at Marineterrein, and have named it Buurtboerderij Centraal.
The Buurtboerderij (Neighborhood Farm) is a place for everyone – whether you have an ample or a tight budget. You can get a cup of tea or filter coffee for €1.50 and city pass holders can get a discount.
The Buurtboerderij employs people from all sorts of backgrounds. The organization is run by a combination of permanent staff, volunteers and people with more difficult job prospects. The Buurtboerderij offers them a place for daytime activitites, internships, learning tracks and reintegration programs.
