Roboat
CommunityAutonomous transportation of passengers and goods over water
Roboat develops innovative autonomous vessels at the Marineterrein.
Amsterdam has historically been a city where water and technology meet. This tradition continues at Roboat. Here, the world’s first self-navigating boat was developed. Now, autonomous technology is being actively developed for deployment on boats of various shapes and sizes from ferries to barges. With sensors such as cameras, GPS, and Lidar, boats can navigate the waterways autonomously.
Roboat is a company that is housed at the Marineterrein in building 027. Roboat also makes use of the inner harbor as a test area for their boats.
