New: The Great Bubble Barrier
Plastic pollution is a major challenge. The Bubble Barrier aims to fish plastic out of rivers and create awareness around this problem.
The Bubble Barrier is the first technology to use a bubble barrier to stop plastic pollution in rivers and canals before it reaches our oceans.
This technique collects as much plastic as possible with as little air as possible, allowing a free passage for fish.
Plastic collected in Amsterdam ultimately goes to a recycling center. Part of this is collected for research led by the Plastic Soup Foundation to substantiate the exact quantity, type, brand and origin of the plastics.
