Portraits tell us how we view people and how we like to see ourselves. Through portraits, we learn something about the person portrayed, about the maker, about ourselves and about the world that is changing rapidly.
The Portrait Gallery Studio creates on-site and online exhibitions, with work from museums, corporate and private collections. The Portrait Gallery Studio wants to investigate how portrait art can contribute to the recognition and appreciation of people, by developing an understanding and appreciation for each other’s different backgrounds and stories.
The Portrait Gallery Studio annually awards two portrait prizes thanks to the support of Rabobank.
